Rayman DS is, as some of you already know, essentially a port of Rayman 2:The Great Escape. Not a new game like some of us fans(especially me) had thought. Although that woulda' been nice, a port isn't nessecarily a bad thing considering it's thought to be one of the greatest platformers of all-time and of its'time. You help Rayman rescue his friends as you explore through 45 detailed and lush environments and levels by flying rockets, riding whirlwinds, surfing lava flows, and more. Like Super Mario 64 DS, It's been a pleasure playing through this game again. I, totally, forgot just how challenging the game is. The one thing that amazes me the most about Rayman DS is how awesome the game looks on the system. Taking that into consideration, I often wonder how good future games will look on the DS(like the upcoming Tak game). This is one game I've been looking forward to since launch and it's definitely been worth the wait. Don't listen to all the bad reviews concerning the game..you'll get your moneys'worth with this game. Sure, it has its' share of flaws but what game doesn't really. In my opinion, it's one of the top-tier games for the Nintendo DS..one that every Nintendo DS should have in their library. Casual fans will love Rayman DS just as much as platformer fans..it's that good.Hopefully, Ubisoft will bring a new Rayman game for the DS. One that we hadn't played before. Til that time comes, sit back and enjoy some good platforming fun with Rayman DS.

I remember this game for the n64 and was excited to see what would happen with it on the ds but once i got it i realized what a horrible mistake that i made...the controls suck they couldn't be harder and if you are like me and had a hard time using the stylus in super mario ds then this is no different. i think that i'll just go to my friends house and play the n64 version instead of this...

I am deployed in Iraq and bought this game to pass my time when I'm off work. I spend my hard earned money ont his game so I tried to complete the game. The game was fun, but the controls were way too hard. I got about half-way through and got so frustrated with the controls I put the game up. If you don't mind difficult controls, this game is fun.
