The material seems durable and the clips are the typical plastic ones that you will find on any regular backpack today. Solid and they work fine but nothing special.
My problem is with the size of the leg straps. If you've moved any kind of weight in your lifetime chances are your legs are bigger than the average person's. These straps are tight on my leg when opened up to their maximum, and that is when it worn over a pair of light shorts. When I wear this over a pair of bulky pants it is very tight. Not excruciating but not overly comfortable either. This has its advantages as the firearm doesn't shift around on my leg - at all. Still, in hindsight I would have liked to have known the maximum dimensions of the leg straps when opened to their maximum. It would have been beneficial if the manufactuer/seller posted this information.
As for the holster, because it is one size fits all, it is by default quite large. Most likely you will want to sew the bottom of the holster to a make tighter, more customized fit for your firearm. Again, this has its advantages as for 10 minutes worth of work you can customize your holster in a way that no pre-sized holster will allow. I have no problem with that. Would recommend for full size 1911-type pistols, but with a couple of well-placed stitches a smaller 9mm could fit in there just as easily.
Note to the inexperienced shooters out there...this isn't a quick draw setup (no leg holsters are), so if you're looking for an IPSC setup on the cheap, look elswhere :)
Overall, this is a decent setup (I purchased with the UTG heavy duty belt) and because of the price it gets my recommendation and 3/5 stars.
