When I first bought this book, I wasn't expecting much, just a good read. But once I picked up, I couldn't put this book I down (Literally). It is also the reason I stayed up until 4 reading. These book made me feel "bubbly" and "icy" all at the same time. They have many intense and heart-racing moments. You'll find yourself either yelling in your head or out loud in frustration. =)

Everyone in Uglyville is "Ugly" including 15 year old Tally Youngblood.
Once Tally turned 16 she was going to have the "pretty" surgery and join her best friend Peris in New Pretty Town. Or so she thought. As she waits for her 16 birthday to finally come she meets a girl, Shay.
Shay disappears one night and everything that Tally has ever believed in Changes. Tally is torn in two and is forced to choose, Find Shay and bring her back home, Or stay here and never become pretty. The decision she makes changes her life.

I really enjoyed the the Uglies Boxed Set. Couldn't put the books down! Great story and really imaginative author! Read a portion of Uglies online and was hooked, had to buy the boxed set to find out the rest of the story.

This series is a fun and interesting read. The Hunger Games is more advanced ,but would recommend this series.
