The list author says: "Care bears were released under two seperate companies in the 80s, first DiC, then Nelvana.

The DiC episodes have been released before (7 discs with only three episodes a peice), but are currently being repackaged in a more buyer friendly format in 2007-2008.

There are 22 DiC episodes, and at this point 16/22 of them have been rereleased on DVD. (excluding The Show Must Go On, 8/22, Mayor for a Day, 13/22, Concrete Rain, 16/22, Dry Spell, 17/22, Wedding Bells, 19/22, The Girl Who Cried Wolf, 22/22)

After DiC, Nelvana began to create the Care Bears TV program. There are 75 episodes. The DVDs included on this list have 64/75 episoded represented.
