Amazon.ca

"The most intense fights from the movies," promises the new FlixMix interactive compilation, and, quibbles aside, it delivers. A 50-minute testosterone-enhanced mix tape of 16 high-octane film clips, this sequel to the Boogeymen horror compilation is a marked improvement, if only for the visceral quality of these attention-grabbing highlights. From pounding fistfights (Brad Pitt's bare-knuckle brawl in Snatch) to blood-spattered gunfights (Al Pacino and his "Little Friend" in Scarface) to clanging swordfights (Gladiator) to eye-popping martial arts spectacles starring Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh, and Jackie Chan, the diversity is inspired, though the quality of clips varies from excellent to adequate and too many are full frame. These short, sharp shots, often only a sample of a much longer fight (where is the fiery climax of Legend of the Drunken Master?), will leave you hungry for more, and the brevity keeps the energy from flagging for even a second. --Sean Axmaker

Have you seen "Ultimate Fights"? You will. Soon.
"Ultimate Fights" is jam packed full of the best scenes from "Gladiator," "Snatch," "Rumble in the Bronx," and many other classic fight movies such as "Players Club," "Blade" and many many more. "Ultimate Fights" delivers a knock out montage of some of best fight scenes as well as a commentary and educational documentary on how to stage your own fight scene. But that is not all, just when I was relaxing into the flow, "Ultimate Fights" provided sound options and fighter profiles and DVD ROM options and trivia. I think they are associated with Maxim because I've read about them there before online and I know I read about the other compilation DVD Boogeyman in Maxim "Ultimate Fights" is perfect for parties and bars as there is no need to delve deep into plot or worry about any cunning directorial prestidigitation the likes of "Usual Suspects" or "Wag the Dog". "Ultimate Fights" unwinds as most montage movies with the breakneck pace of a rocket powered yoyo. I think Ultimate Fights will sweep the nation. The movie doesn't have any of that sap you see in movies such as "Man Bites Dog" or the "Professional," just the best parts of the best fight movies, including clips such as the final scene from "Fist of Legend," a Quentin Tarantino recommended film starring Jet Li. I can't see why someone would rent movies devoid of the artistic panache and craftsmanship of "Braveheart" such as "The Best of the Best 3" when you know you're just going to fast forward it to the fighting scenes so figure it's about time they came out with a compilation DVD with good fighting scenes.

Ultimate Fights has got to be one of the greatest DVDs I have ever encountered. I saw the Boogeymen DVD back when it first came out and I thought it was wildly entertaining.. Ultimate Fights blows it out of the water!! The DVD features the most intense fight scenes from some of the most wonderful action flicks ever made. At first I thought the DVD would be great to put on to entertain the guys while all of us girls sat and chatted... when we heard how much fun they were having we had to join in! And let me tell ya - there is nothing more enjoyable than sitting around with a bunch of your friends watching the rippling muscles of Brad Pitt, or Russell Crowe, or Wesley Snipes, Liam Neeson, I could go on and on and on. The guys loved the girlfights also!
Not only that, the DVD has all kinds of great features. The FlixFacts are tons of fun with pop up trivia running the whole time. The Name That Frame Game sparked our own intense competition between the girls and the guys! Those were only some of the cool bonuses on the DVD. There were over 5 hours of features on there... guess we'll have to save them for next time!!
I can't wait to see what these guys come up with next!

I have had the privilege to preview the, "Ultimate Fights" montage. At first I was skeptical, I mean how can a fight scene stand alone without the movie to explain the significance of it all. I was wrong! These fight scenes were incredible with "Scarface," being my favorite. Every fight sequence was packed with action and blood.
And if that was not enough, the bonus material that comes with the DVD has small trivia games that test the knowledge of even the average lay movie buff. Personal, these games would work exceedingly well in a partying setting.
I have never written a review about any movie and I was not planning too but when I saw these fight montages with my friends, they convinced me that it would be a moral injustice not to do so. "Ultimate Fights" is prefect for any college student as well as any other person that wants to take a break from the daily toils of studying or working, to sit down and watch grown adults fight. If you are a person that likes to go to the movies to see the previews then this DVD is a 'must buy.'
And if that is not enough, if you really liked the footage that you saw on "Ultimate Fights" go rent the movie or even better buy it!

I just got an advanced screener of this DVD and it freakin rocks.
Finally there is a company that makes DVDs with the best scenes from different movies. At first I thought Ultimate Fights was going to be just a bunch of scenes slapped together, but when I watched it I realized that it had a whole bunch of extra stuff on it.
The scenes are awesome, and you can watch them with or without the pop-up video style facts, the director audio commentary, or the music mix. There is also a segment on how to do your own fight and other stuff. It's also cool because you can program your favorite 5 scenes and you can view them in a row.
I also played the "name that frame game" which is cool, but so much better with a group of people.
Overall I think this is an amazing idea and the scenes are from great movies like Scarface, Crouching Tiger, Gladiator, The Legend of Druken Master, and a bunch more.
I would recommend this DVD to my friends because it's a cool way to check out all your favorite scenes all in one DVD.

I won the Ultimate Fights DVD in a giveaway from a radio station at school 2 weeks ago. The following weekend, I had a huge party at my place and I played the DVD. There were probably close to 200 people that came to the party through the course of the night. I have to say that everyone was at one point glued to the TV. If you want to make your friends jealous, be the first one to own this on DVD. This DVD is amazing!!! I've never seen anything like it before. It has the best mix of fight scenes and it even has a feature that shows you how to stage your own movie fight. I was really impressed with how well it was put together and some of my favorite scenes from Scarface, Crouching Tiger, and Gladiator were in there. It is an awesome DVD that I recommend to anyone. You just can't go wrong with it. Whether you're having a party or you want something to watch with your buddies before you go out, this is the only DVD you'll need.
