So worth it,

This review is from: Ultimate Flexibility: A Complete Guide to Stretching for Martial Arts (Paperback)
My first time writing a review for anything on this website... But I felt that this book does not get the attention it deserves. I am no martial artist - I just wanted to find a book that would give me all the information I need about attaining greater flexibility. This book has it all - advice, scientific discussion (and I don't mean a page filled with meaningless terms - the author really tries to explain it well), quick guides and sample workouts, and of course, a wide range of stretches with pictures. It even helps you optimize your stretching routines so you spend less time on it! The only shortcomings I can think of are lack of information on PNF stretching, and perhaps not being really martial-arts oriented (although it's a positive for me) Just don't forget - this book gives you the bricks - it's up to you to put in the time and make something out of them

Hello,I am a martial artist fo 38+ years experience in several different styles, and it is said that a master reveals his art in every motion, well this could easily apply to Sang H.Kim.His advise not only on the physical aspects of streching, but his insight into stress, tension and anxiety are a testement to his dedication to the overall success of his students and readers alike, therefor I would highly reccomend this book to anyone looking to improve allmost any aspect of their training, and person as well!An excellent tool!

had based my purchase on the reviews. very well illustrated, simple.only problem is if one has some skills in martial arts, yoga, or is simply an athlete, 99% of the exercises are familiar. also, many stretching techniques come naturally when one is mindful. unfortunately, i put it down after reading it and it will probably gather dust until i can find someone to give it to that could benefit from it. Awesome for beginners.
