Another excellent Lego sticker book by DK! March 11 2011
By Hackedad - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I've found that these Lego sticker books are well worth the price. Initially they seem expensive, but consider these points:

*The book includes nicely decorated pages with a spot for each sticker.
*The pages are thick and glossy - not cheap, dull paper.
*Stickers are "re-stickable", so if your child puts it in the wrong place or crooked, they can be peeled and re-stuck. We've even been able to unstick them from standard printer paper.
*There's TWO of every sticker. So you can put one on the collector's page, and still have another for making your own creations.
*There's tons of small .5"x.5" miscellaneous stickers as well (along with doubles of each of these, too.

In this particular book, you get to see a lot of the sets from the Lego City collection. These are more classic sets with Police, Firefighters, airports, trains and city scenes as well as others like offshore drilling rigs and other "real-life" types of themes. The glossy pages feature sets that are pretty recent, too, so unlike some other books like the Lego Star Wars Ultimate Sticker Collection (ULTIMATE STICKER COLLECTIONS), where many of the sets & minifigures are discontinued are hard to find, you'll probably be able to find these sets if your child shows an interest in them.

If you use the "Look Inside" feature of Amazon, it'll show you some of the glossy pages that have specific spots for the stickers to go. Pages 95-96 show you some of the smaller 1/2" x 1/2" stickers.

The stickers come on separate pages and are re-stickable. These two attributes make the book worthwhile for younger kids because if they misplace a sticker or accidently put the wrong one on a spot, they can fix it. Plus, as I mentioned before, the books give you two of every sticker, so they can fill up the premade pages then still have a set to use however they want. While the City theme isn't really as "collectible" as Star Wars, it's still nice to have the pages that explain what the characters and vehicles are and what they do.

Other books are available to explore various minifigures and the Star Wars theme, as well as a general book that covers many different themes.

The only negative is that some stickers are very intricate. Since they are die-cut to shape, you might rip the thinner parts. This is where having the extra of every sticker comes in handy.

All in all a great value just like the other books. Compared to packages of stickers, or even sticker books you get way more stickers and fun from these.

Fun for all ages Jan. 8 2013
By Mrs. Chaudhury - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
My 3 1/2 year old son loves Legos and has enjoyed other DK Ultimate Sticker Collection books, so I asked my parents to get the Lego City sticker book for him for Christmas. The stickers can be reapplied if he doesn't position them correctly the first time and since he sometimes rips parts of the stickers, or sticks them onto toys (or his sister), it's nice to have duplicates of each sticker. He also likes to match the extra stickers to similar photos in the book. There are 31 pages on which to place the stickers.

Would it be too much to ask for perforated pages?? Feb. 8 2014

We love the sticker book and having to match up the stickers with their corresponding pictures. The end result is a great book outlining all the city workers and their roles. There are even extra stickers.

However(!) why are the sticker pages not perforated? Flipping back and forth is inconvenient, so we tore out the pages and they didn't come out nicely. I would have rated 5/5 if the pages tore out easily.

We purchased this product to keep our son entertained during long church services. We go to services that last all day sometimes, and on those occasions this has been a life-saver. The only real note that I have is that the stickers are not removable as the standard description implies. I thought that I might be able to remove the stickers for future use for another child, but they are not removable. On the flip-side: the books that *are* truly removable do not keep the stickers stuck to the pages and you end up with stickers *everywhere.* This book is still preferred to the ones that are actually removable.
So many stickers!! June 11 2014

My 3 yo loves his Legos, especially the Lego City police and fire fighter series. This sticker book covered all his favorite and some more! He is so excited about this sticker book! There are so many stickers. The extra stickers that are small are nice because I use them for his reward chart. I bought one more for a friend's son who is also into Lego City and he loves it too.
