Not made of stainless. Made with cheap ceramic. Broke in less than 1 month. Didn't even fall on the ground. JUNK.

Not as it appears in the picture... Oct. 27 2010

The picture is misleading though I am sure it is not intentional. I bought two of these for our bathrooms. They are a lot taller and the slots a lot wider than they look. They will not fit my kids' toothbrushes in them, but will work for adult toothbrushes.

Nice product Jan. 27 2011

I was looking for a holder that would fit those fat handled chidren's brushes. This works perfectly, as the slots are nice and wide. If your child's toothbrush is not really short, and you don't want one of those cartoonish children's holders sitting out in your bathroom, this is the holder for you. It's made of melamine but the chrome finish is nicely done, and the price is great.

I have to say: I like this brush holder. I am searching for more of Umbra's products. This holder help you reduce bacteria stuck in brushes. Really easy to wipe off dirt on it surface. It's also heavy, shiny metallic and make it stable to the flat surface. Awesome.

the toothbrushes fall right through this poorly designed holder. i guess it doesn't look bad, but it takes more effort than necessary to make sure the toothbrush does not fall through onto the counter.

These holders are lovely and, as a previous reviewer wrote, larger than the usual toothbrush holder. I like the fact that the base does not collect water/mold. However, after owning two of these of for 9 months and 1 year respectively, the finish has all but eroded off (it's white underneath), and the top snapped off.
