A few years ago, I heard a piece of music that I thought was so beautiful but I did not know the name of the piece.
One day, I heard it on NPR - When I learned the title, I immediately went to Amazon. The name of the piece is LADY
CALIPH by Ennio Morricone. I found 2 renditions of this piece - one rendition on "Fairy Tale" and another on "Yoyo MA." I tend to favor the rendition on the CD "Fairy Tale." However, in my opinion both renditions are very masterly and beautifully played. I like to listen to YoYo Ma. I have several CDs featuring him and the cello. I had not heard of Angele Dubeau. Her CD is simply beautiful - she certainly knows how to make the violin come alive. Often when I come home from work, I just sit and listen to one or the other of these CDs. I find the music soothing and calming after a long day. For individuals that have a leaning toward classical music, I recommend these two.
