Purchase with caution, Feb 7 2007

I purchased this book as something to read before book 7 but found it to contain even less information than most websites let alone have anything new in it at all. The author has a small bias towards characters which may also not suit all readers. If you really must have everything HP then get it but this book will not give you anything new that you could not read at any of the four big websites.

Parts of the missing pieces possibly revealed?, April 8 2006

When I first read "7", I knew what to expect because I had already read Mr. Zimmerman's previous Harry Potter preview book and found, to my surprise, that the deeply intellectual analysis and speculation by Mr. Zimmerman and interested Harry Potter devotees was well thought out and, surprisingly, accurate in its depiction of what would be in "Half Blood Prince". Of course, not all of my questions were answered by "Half Blood Prince" (not even the ones from the speculators) and after I read the real "Half Blood Prince" I searched and found that Nimble had done it again and had written what I call group speculation. No matter what you might think, someone has probably considered it before you and has posted it. The book "7" has offered explanations to events in the previous six books that had NEVER crossed my mind. I consider myself a real Harry Potter fan and I was amazed with the cogent and entertaining posts and musings that Mr. Zimmerman had gathered from others (as well as written himself). If you are looking for a "spoiler", well, since we don't really know what is in book 7 for real, this isn't one. What "7" is is the book we need before JK Rowling makes our dreams come true by finishing the final book of the septology. In "7" we see ideas that may be right, some that may be wrong, but all that have logic behind them.
"7" is a book I have read over and over. The interspertion of peoples' commentary is a feature that I enjoy and I heartily recommend this "prequel" to anyone with an imagination and a wish that JK Rowling would hurry up and tell us what happened to Snape!!!!

Are you left with more questions than answers after finishing Half-Blood Prince ? Then this is the book for you. Mr Zimmerman has done the yeoman's job of searching the internet and J.K.Rowling's interviews to synopsize all information and opinions concerning the book. This will help you in your research to delve deeper into the characters' past and future motivations.
