Out of all the Underdog stories, The Phoney Booths was a personal favorite, At first i audiotaped it, it was very hard to do, because i never knew when it would show up, later i recorded what i could of it on Super 8 film, but today of course its availble on videotape to be watched anytime, The Big Dipper is another cartoon I tried recording on super 8 film there were inexpensive home vcrs in 1972, i also pick it as a favorite, These are said to be Simon Bar Sinisters best inventions, it finally looks like he's going to rule the world after all. The Phoney Booths would be ridiculous as a live action movie, who would believe this, flesh and blood people walking about with flashing light bulbs in their heads and nobody notices, Hollywood isnt that desperate or is it?

Simon Barsinister is at it again. He's inventing machines to take over the world, but thank goodness he's always foiled by good ol' Underdog. If you like good clean heroic cartoons that the whole family will enjoy, then look no further than Underdog. He may get knocked down, but rest assure he'll win in the end and Polly Purebred and the whole Earth will once again be safe from Simon's plans to take over the world. We could use some real life Underdogs today.Oh, where o where have our Underdogs gone.
