Product Description

You could learn more, do more, even LIVE more. The potential is there. But first you’ll have to begin learning the way a child learns...

Undetectable is the story of Kevin Brooks, the first test subject of a new and unproven technique called scrubbing. A private-school teacher in Manhattan, he has just landed a brand new job. It’s the most important, most dangerous job he'll ever have.

He just doesn't know about it yet.

Kevin will soon be in charge of protecting the greatest computer scientist of our generation. This man is on the verge of a breakthrough that could change all of our lives, and he already has 24-hour protection from the United States Secret Service. There are people who want this scientist dead, and these people know how to pick their moments. Which is why the man will soon be the beneficiary of a new kind of protector, an undetectable protector.

Now, in the second book of the Great Minds series, Kevin Brooks’ newly scrubbed mind will be put through every imaginable test. He will have less than two weeks to prepare, but several YEARS of training to absorb.

Whether he is ready in time or not, there will be lives that need saving. And no one else who can do the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creepy but good March 26 2012

Very cloak and dagger situation. Very scary to think this might really happen, and that they hprobably have the technology to already do it (if they aren't already doing it). On the whole, very good and it keeps moving forward.

I never read a storyline like this, and to think this book has a reference to Charcot's Genius character of Dr. Kline!! We meet Kevin, who is sitting in a classroom behind a teacher's desk. He has no memory who he is or why. He literally is led thru the day by a man named Danny. As the week progresses he finds he can stop time.project speed scenarios, never fall asleep, and loves to run mile upon mile thru the night. He has a penthouse he does not remember buying, hiring a butler he does not remember, talking to all the employees at his residence who are all new hires and calling a few friends . Everywhere he turns everyone says they only just met him. What happened to the last 3 or 4 months of memories? Who can help him regain what he has lost?

This is the second book of the series. But it is completely stand alone with different characters. I was actually hoping characters from the first book would be in this one.

This book was interesting and even intriguing. But it was not as good as "Untapped". The story dragged a little as we watched Kevin do the same things over and over. Then 88% into the kindle version. The action picks up and the story wraps up rather quickly without enough explanation or information.

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Plot Aug. 28 2012

Very interesting story that kept me completely involved with the main character through all the action. I would have given this 5 stars if it weren't for the frequent use of F-Bombs. The bad language detracted from an otherwise excellent work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! April 18 2012

This book is incredible -- don't start it unless you have time to get lost in it. I never expected to like it so much -- I actually wish it came in a paper version, so I could buy it to share with my non-Kindle-ing friends!
