This Travel Book is one one the good ones out there. Unlike a lot of these "motorcycle adventure books" that are a chronological listing of dull events, this book is full of spirit, fun to read and very interesting. Kudo to Mike for a great and entertaining book. I have read a dozen of these books and this, with Jupieter Travel is one of the best.

I found this book a good motorcycle travel book, I am not a huge reader but did enjoy reading this book. Being a motorcycle nut I find that alot of motorcyle travel books are just travel books and not enough about the bike part (personal opinion)

I'm 67 now and wish I'd read this 30 years ago. Great read and he's in a good headspace.

Excellent Book - Even if you are not an avid motorcyclist June 2 2010

Kudos to Mike Carter for riding the atypical biker adventure book. Written with self-deprecating humor and witty observations of his surroundings, Mr. Carter shows us that the destinations he arrives at are secondary to the people he meets along the way.

Just be sure to read in a far off place of the house. I woke up the family dog and annoyed the Mrs. because I was laughing out loud to loud and too often.

Highly recommended. If you like adventure, you will not be disappointed.

I love this book.

A good read July 12 2010

Over the past year ive read a dozen or so books of this type. Mike Carters "Uneasy Rider" is a good read. The book is entertaining and the story is well constructed. My only critique's are that as an American, it can sometimes be difficult to keep up with some of the more English (UK) "slang". Secondly and more importantly. No pictures? I would have to argue that any non-fictional, travel book should include pictures from the event itself. It helps the reader to visualize as well as associate. But overall, the book is as I said, "a good read".

So-so? Sept. 20 2010
By HarleyRiderinAz - Published on Amazon.com

This book was so-so. By that I mean it had some interesting stories of people he met along the way but I felt cheated with the details. I admit there were some great stories like how he got his bike out of the lobby of a hotel. I do think that it didn't matter that he was riding a Beamer bike rather than a Harley although he does meet some Harley rider's and that just seemed to be a bit strange. We never do find out the meaning of "the map" that he eventually thows away. All in all it was fun to read but lacked details.

Could not put down read July 25 2013
By High Side - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I purchased the book because of an Amazon suggestion of another bike travel novel purchase.

It very rare that I start/finish a book in a 24 hour period, but that is the case with Uneasy Rider by Mike Carter. I purchased the book because of its motorcycle travel description. I could not put it down because the story that unfolds of a man working his way through a mid life crises, the humour that unfolds and the characters that we meet through Mikes eyes.

Being a Canadian, some of the British references were lost on me. Being a middle aged (it kills me to write that) biker, made many of the events and situations faced by Mike and his coming to terms with life in your forties very identifiable to me.

Wonderfully written and extremely entertaining, I strongly suggest joining Mike on his BMW and visiting the 27 countries and 20,000 miles in the pages of Uneasy Rider !

Good easy read. March 25 2014

Good easy read but loses a little in translation fm British English to American English. Still, would recommend if looking for an entertaining time passer.
