Product Description

Ingram

From pompous to vain, the most unsuitable suitors courted Anne Fairchild. Tolerant of all foibles, unschooled in flirtation, Anne was the despair of her family. Worst of all, only Chas Prestwick, the outrageous younger brother of an earl, could bring a blush to her cheek. He made Anne long to trade in a life of propriety--for one that promised a love filled with unpredictable delight. A Regency romance original. .

4.0 out of 5 stars A Most Enjoyable Read, Jan 28 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Unflappable Miss Fairchild (Paperback)
A likeable couple you can really care about and root for, an interesting plot, and skillful writing. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Doesn't read like a "debut novel" at all! Refreshing, entertaining, and lots of fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Unflappable Miss Fairchild, Sep 7 2011
By elm - Published on Amazon.com
After three London seasons, Miss Anne Fairchild accidentally walks into the library where the infamously wild Mr. Charles Prestwick has an assignation with Miss Elizabeth Scanton. He is immediately charmed by Anne but she realizes no introduction will be neccesary since they move in different social circles. They end up meeting in unlikely locations and she knows her Aunt Agatha will disapprove of the handsome Mr. Prestwick as a suitor.

Dialogue was entertaining and witty at times. They both struggle with their feelings for each other specially when many of Mr. Prestwick's acquaintances believe she is his new mistress. Miss Scanton's jealously also interfers in their relationship, giving the main characters real depth.

Clean romance with only kisses in this book.
