Ok, so this is the third set of United tripple threat ive had, all in different finishes. I am sad to say that this particular model is GARBAGE! I am throwing from a 12" range and have been throwing a while. my point accuracy is in the high 95-97% range.
2 of the three knives BROKE with in 20 throws. During the design stages, the three holes introduced to the Knife have created a breaking point. Both knives broke in the exact same spot. I have never seen anything like it. When looking at the breaks, you can see the stress line in the steel from the holes being punched into the stainless.
if you are using a SOFT target and are throwing with a light throw these may work for you. if you have a heavy arm, these are not what you are looking for.

The best thing about them is that they are really easy to learn with. First time throwing knives, had no problem making them stick 3 out of 3 times from the 20-25th attempt on. Kind of heavy, solid, with a thick blade (not handle though, see below) make a very satisfying thud on impact. Because of the weight, they do go in pretty deeply and require a bit more confidence in handling and throwing. The only problem I had with them is that one of the knives snapped at the location of the two holes when I threw it a little too hard (well, a good deal harder than usual, actually). Surprisingly enough (or may be not) just the blade by itself kept on sticking with almost the same success as the whole knife used to. Looking into getting another set.

I do not recomend this! The day i got it I started throwing the knives and one of them broke in half under 2 hours of throwing them, against a wood backboard i might add. If you are going to buy a fairly cheep set of throwing knives, find ones without the balancing holes.
