Luciano (Born Jephtah McClymont)solidifies his reputation as probably the most charismatic and spiritually-inclined modern roots singer of the present era. This album is a testament to his innate abilities that have earned him great respect, adoration, adulation, and also won him several honors from both high and low places, including a couple from the government of his native Jamaica. Aptly titled, the album is a wake-up call to the African continent and its people, both locally and in diaspora, about the dream and utopia of a more united Africa. He goes on to fire shots at every socio-political and socio-economic figure, whether institution, group, individual, or policies, that in one way or the other contributed to making the world less tolerant, less peaceful, and less prosperous. World Politicians, Wall Street, Financial institutions, Bail outs, and even Bernie Madoff the incarcerated perpetrator of the biggest financial fraud in the US, are all joined as being responsible for the "Recession". Criticism of war mongering countries and politicians, as well as world peace are a central theme of this piece of work. He closes with an urgent call for more alertness towards the prevention of global Terrorism, by joining forces with yet another great roots singer, Fantan Mojah on the track "Another Terrorist Attack. I was privileged to have had this album on pre-release exactly 72 hrs before its official release, and I "buss" it on my radio show exactly 48 hrs before its release, sending most of my listeners in a wild frenzy. Just barely over one week later, my co-selecta in Radio Rivers 99.1 FM, Port Harcourt, Nigeria(Mowon E. Mbikan) dished it out to his audience, becoming the first station in Black Africa to play it, much to the appreciation of his listeners. This is a must for the more conscious and matured roots crowd. Buy it, and support this and all artiste(s).
One love and Respect!!
