Robbins argues that by using a new technique called neurolinguistic programming (NLP) anyone can become successful at almost anything. NLP teaches us how to communicate success to ourselves. One of the best ways to do this is to model ourselves on people who are successful: Think, act, and speak like a success and you are on the way to being one. Despite much helpful material (even regarding nutrition), this book scarcely acknowledges the limitations that exist in people's lives. Of course, the whole thrust of NLP is to learn to focus on one's power and not on one's limits. But the text is too wordyit reads like a transcript of a series of talksand it also needs more structure and organization. Excellent Tape--A step above pma,

I have been a fan of the positive mind books for many years. They have helped me immeasureably. It has always been my contention that you can do more with a positive attitude than you can with a negative attitude. Naysayers often say that pma doesn't last. I used to say, neither does a bath but it is a good idea to take on on a regular basis and therein lies the keys to Anthony Robbins methods. You can't just swish yourself or anchor yourself one time and expect it to last forever. That would be like going to the gym and working out one time and say: Okay I'm in shape. Glad I don't have to go through that ever again!" Robbins teaches NLP (Neurolinguistic programming) and if you examine the name it ends with programming. You can't program yourself 1 time, you do it on a regular basis. I found this tape in conjunction with the book by the same name gave me a jumpstart on personal success. The tape is a condensed version of the book and should never be considered a replacement for the book. It does help tie together Tony's ideas. I also recommend Awaken The Giant which picks up where Unlimited Power ends.

This 60 minute tape by Anthony Robbins provides an exellent overview of Robbin's first book Unlimited Power. Robbins covers many of the NLP techniques that has helped so many achieve greatness.The book of course has a lot more meat and this tape is not to confused with Robbins 6 tape audio set published by Nightingale-Conant or Robbins 30 day personal power program. I recommend this tape because it helps tie together the concepts in Unlimited Power. In fact, I recommend that you play it every day for the first week as a supplement to Robbins other material. You will see a big difference.

Great! But too short!,

This was the first audio tape of Tony that I bought. Well, the way Tony gives seminar is really admirable- he's really energetic, funny, congruent, and he gets his points across effectively. Most of the section is recorded from his real seminar, and it's great! However this version is a little bit too short, maybe it's Simon & Shcuster's fault cos they always release such short audios. There's another version of Unlimited Power, it has 6 cassettes, it;s a fuller versions with lots of NLP skills. That version is released by Nightangale-Conant if I'm not mistaken. I listen to that 6 tape sets every now and then. The format is very similar to this tape, with Tony in studio and seminars teaching you the skills, but this version is only about 50 mins long.
