I chose this book based on the style of writing and the thoroughness of the authors research.I liked his casual yet informative style.I found that it was very helpful to read it ahead of time and make some notes as it would be very heavy to carry to the park.
The tips were right on especially the advice to go early , to use the Fast-passes and the Touring plans ,Disney has WiFi so we could easily check wait times on rides(we did tear the plans out of the back of the book in case WIFI down) but we learned that if you see a ride or show that has only 30 min or less wait then grab it,we tried to be flexible that way.
As we were travelling at Xmas in a group with 4 children ages 2-9 we had to adjust our plans frequently but reading this book in advance helped us organize ourselves and reminded us to be flexible ,prepare for setbacks and most of all ENJOY the moments..Plus we didn't miss any of the suggested must do rides or events such as the Xmas parade at MK ( lined up for 1.5 hrs ahead to get a good spot)and the fireworks not to be missed!!
Thanks Bob and Len I will be recommending this travel book to all my friends

I have purchased this guide every time we have gone to Orlando (since 1992). We have a timeshare so don't use the accommodations portion of the book and I still think it's more than worth the price. The tips and ride descriptions are great and the touring guides are something I would never go without. I rave to people about "the plan". The mini touring plans can be cut out, laminated and taken with you. Once laminated they aren't destroyed on the water rides and can be passed on, with the book, to others later. However, for the price, I think anyone going to Orlando should purchase their own.

Practical and comprehensive. I don't think you need another guide if you have this one. I have the "Lines" app too - worth the extra money for sure.
