5.0 out of 5 stars Explorio! July 15 2012
By Amanda Richards - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
A visit to the WWoHP at Islands of Adventure is certainly a must for any Harry Potter fan, and this concise but informative guide is a handy tool for maximizing your visit within your time frame. It includes descriptions of the rides, stores and other attractions, and information on height requirements and approximate waiting times. For example, waiting for an hour outside Olivanders will get you a five minute show as a lucky kid gets fitted with a perfect wand.

Written with kids in mind, and full of photographs, it lists things to see in the various shop windows, HP items available for sale (including the candy from the movies), and gives historical facts and useful tips such as buying Butterbeer in souvenir mugs (cheap fountain drinks throughout the park) and how to get in early. One thing not mentioned is that some of the cool stuff, such as your photo from The Forbidden Journey or the Dumbledore (or other character) wand from The Owl Post is pretty expensive, and can certainly put a big dent in your wallet.

This is an accurate and helpful guide, and highly recommended as advance reading for your family vacation to WWoHP/Islands of Adventure in Orlando.

5.0 out of 5 stars Concise guide Jan. 17 2013

Clear, concise guide that describes everything very accurately. Had a wonderful visit to The Wizarding World, with its help, and it is a nice way to remember what was there after you return home. The Universal Orlando guide is also good to look at as it helps with ticket prices and talks more clearly about early morning hours for on property hotel guests.

This book was amazingly splendid!! I would've preferred it longer, but it's a buy!! I've learned so much from this book, and even though it's for kids, it'll fascinate adults, as well. :D
