Anyway, if you liked the old "Limp Bizkit", and don't mind a more serious "Rage Against the Machine" twist, then you'll definity find something to like about this new album. It's just too bad they had to more-or-less copy another band instead of doing something of their own... oh well, hopefully Part 2 will be better.
This new album is a solid departure from anything they have ever done. Some of the riffs may sound remniscent of other songs they have done but all in all this a totally new direction for the band one in which I believe they can gain some respect from other fellow artists and some new fans who have thier own predispositions about what this band is about and what they sound like.
There songs are a lot more serious in tone, rhythm, and intensity. It is more about politics and individuality and the state of the world as opposed to the brazen ego centred lyrics and rants that we are used to from Fred Durst. Wes Borland has definitely matured as well in his style and his experimentation and avid risk taking is very evident on this album. It is more intricate and sonically driven then any of thier previous albums but it still has enough neanderthalic swagger to attract the old fans.
It takes a couple of listens but I like it, alot, heck it is better then anything they have put out before, so give it a listen but mostly give it a chance.
This CD makes up for their last weak attempt, and definetly shows that Wes Borland truly is the missing link for the band.
This is definetly a step in the right direction for Limp Bizkit
I like this album for the sole reason that it is very un-Limp Bizkit like - it's much harder, and not as "poppy". For the price, it's a decent buy, and as a person who is not the biggest of Limp Bikit fans, I certainly enjoyed it!
and put out the worst album theyve done.
Come on! A** kicking songs like break stuff, counterfeit, take a look around, nookie..... Thats when this band rocked.....
THIS ALBUM SUCKS
I wonder if Fred Durst is still walking around wearing baseball hats that bear his initials.....

I really enjoyed 3 dollar bill but my interest of limp bizkit the last 5 years has pretty much gone down the drain. Read morePublished on July 29 2005 by CantSleep
Cool!! It sounds like their first album but with a fat production budget!! It sounds like a ton of bricks. Heavy like I like!! Wes is back! What else to say? Read morePublished on July 12 2005 by Begbi
I was really disappointed by these 7 songs. I doesn't seem like they really put the extra effort to create this. Read morePublished on May 31 2005 by M. Lafreniere
