"As Hoshowsky shows in his sensitive, non-sensationalist survey of 11 Canadian cases from 1968 to 2006, what progress has been made in solving [cold cases] has been a matter of technological wizardry."
(Maclean's )Despite advances in DNA testing, forensics, and the investigative skills used by police, hundreds of crimes remain unsolved across Canada. With every passing day trails grow colder and decades can pass before a new lead or witness comes forward … if one comes forward.
In Unsolved, Robert J. Hoshowsky examines twelve crimes that continue to haunt us. Some cases are well-known, while others have virtually disappeared from the public eye. All of the cases remain open, and many are being re-examined by police using the latest tools and technology. Hoshowsky takes the reader through all aspects of the crimes and how police are trying to solve them using three-dimensional facial reconstructions, DNA testing, age-enhanced drawings, original crime scene photos, and more.
None of the individuals profiled in Unsolved deserved their fate, but their stories deserve to be told and their killers need to be brought to justice.

Amazing Investigative Journalist,
By
This review is from: Unsolved: True Canadian Cold Cases (Paperback)
This book is truly amazing. I found myself not being able to put this book "Unsolved True Canadian Cold Cases" down...I think there is a greater chance that more of these unsolved cases will get "solved" because of your book being made available for the public to read. These cases are current and alive again...I believe that will help for some new leads to come in. Thank you for writing such a "great" book. Robert, you did an outstanding job! I ordered 5 last week and just ordered another 5 this week for my family and friends!
Best Always, Diana P. Trepkov Certified Forensic Artist
