I'll keep this short.

This is, in my opinion, not only one of my top 5 favorite metal releases of the year, but the best Machine Head album to date. It's quite heavy, with bits of mellowness. Robb's harsh, and clean vocals fantastic, the songs are intelligent, creative, and very well played. I'd say it's almost like a progressive thrash medley. Get the bonus edition, too. The Judas Priest cover is great, but I found the Rush cover to be kind of boring. Of course, some will disagree. DVD is good, too. I think it was about 20 minutes, or something, but a good watch. Get the album, I really doubt anyone would regret it.

Format: Audio CD
After the successful release of 'The Blackening', Machine Head offers us 'Unto The Locust'. Once again they write thrashy/lengthy songs that get the head banging and the fist pumping. I highly recommend this album for any metal fans.

By far one of their best albums. The Blackening is still "unbeatable" as far as being one of the greatest of all time, but their new album contains very strong songs that any Machine Head fan would appreciate.

I enjoyed Machinehead's earlier works but, after two listens, this album doesn't grab my attention like The Blackening did. fwiw Locust is my favourite track.
