FiF in general Dec 4 2003
By Timmy
Format:Audio CD
This cd, like all of FiF's is a great cd, with meaningful, and sometimes comical songs... with a religious attitude and all the talent they need, i'd rush out and not only get this cd, but all of them... they're not often blatantly religious about things, rather, they have hidden meanings in thier songs, and address problems with the real world, and real people...

Songs like "A Flowery Song"(our newest album ever, and live...), "Amalgamate"(upbeats and beatdowns), "World Without End"(all the hype that money can buy) and my favorite, "Every New Day" (live) and the alternate version of it "On Distant Shores" from their last album (the end is near) are beautifully written and performed songs about God...

Songs like "My Evil Plan to Save the World"(quantity is job1), "Suckerpunch"(live), and "Handbook for the Sellout"(live) are more punk/ska type songs, that still have their own significances...

overall, FiF is a great band, with lovely, and sometimes funny songs... you should get this cd... buh, if you only get one... get the "Live: Proof the Youth are Revolting" cd...

A must have. Oct 17 2003
Format:Audio CD
My wife actually put me onto FIF - and she hates punk and ska! I love ska and punk and told my wife one day that I wished I could find a Christian ska band and she found FIF for me (this was a few years ago). I thought OK, cool, but let's see if they're any good. Yup, they're one of the best. I get a kick out of the sarcasm in "The Old West" and "Beautiful America." The quote from Westside Story - priceless. "A Flowery Song" has to be the most creative arraingment of the Doxology that I've ever heard (I'm almost tempted to give this disc 5 stars for "A Flowery Song" alone). A bit of advice - get this disc now and listen to it over and over - you'll have trouble finding anything much better.

Cool Enough for Me
FIF's first album - back when they were still punks. It's a zesty mix of ska and punk - probably FIF's most stylistically unified album. Read more

a great disc from a great group
FIF's first album is a classic, it introduced them to the world, and the world saw it was good.
You can tell it is an older CD, some of the mixing isn't that great, the vocal... Read more

Jordan's Review of FIF
I can give you two reasons to run out and buy this CD: A Flowery Song and Milestone. The latter has one of the most incredible guitar solo intros I've ever, along with brilliant... Read more

Definately worth the $$. Some great songs.
Five Iron Frenzy probably could have made this an EP, and it may have been their most succesful CD. If I were to hand pick the songs for an EP it would be Flowery Song, When The... Read more
