Just as the title states, this book is based on upholstery fundamentals. Great for beginning students of upholstery (this was required reading for a course I'm taking), this book provides detailed pictures and explanations. For those wishing to do advanced projects, this book is lacking.

For years I had searched for an adult upholstery (non-credit) class to take at a local community college, but no luck. Other books did not provide enough detail to help me tackle projects on my own either. I did finally attend a 5-week class and the instructor recommended this book. It has so many photos, definitions and explanations that cover much of what a beginner would need. The classroom/textbook style is easy to read and really helps when you need to speak to suppliers or order tools etc. I purchased it after paging through the copy at class and knew how detailed it was. I wish that the website could have shown more examples of the pages so that others would know what they are buying. Great resource!
