A nice mix of traditional and contemporary xmas songs,
By Sandra (Newfoundland, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: V1 Now! Christmas (Audio CD)
I bought "Now Christmas" yesterday, confusing it with "Now thats what I call christmas". It has many of the same songs as NTWICC, except for a few Canadian songs and a few not so great contemporary songs. I like almost all the songs on disc one(traditional xmas songs) and I like about 12 of the songs on disc 2 (contemporay xmas songs) but I think better songs could have been selected for the contemporary disc. The very worst song on the cd (and quite possibly the worst version of any christmas song I ever heard) would have to be The Red Hot Chili Peppers' version of "Deck the halls". I don't even know why it's on this cd since they are not really singing the song, but rather acting like a bunch of morons. Anyway, since I already mentioned that I like almost all the songs on disc 1, I will only list the songs I really like on disc 2. John & Yoko- Happy Xmas (war is over) The other songs in this collection are ok and as I mentioned the only really bad song is "Deck The Halls" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. 4 stars out of 5.
