Product Description

Amazon.ca

This horror film about Valentine's Day can be excused for excluding Barry White on its soundtrack. The collection is not meant to be heartwarming. It is, essentially, a bloodletting. The lineup is a solid "who's who" of aggressive techno-metal in 2001: Marilyn Manson, Filter, Rob Zombie, Static-X, Deftones, and Orgy lead the way for up-and-coming acts Amanda Ghost and Snake River Conspiracy. Most of these tracks have been released before; however, many are remixed and some are otherwise difficult to come by. The special remix of Static-X's "Love Dump" was previously only available as a 12-inch vinyl single. Rob Zombie's "Superbeast" has been given a "porno holocaust mix." Disturbed's "God of the Mind" was only available on import copies of The Sickness. Happy holiday! --Rob O'Connor

I am a HUGE HUGGGGGE Linkin Park fan, when i saw that a new teeny bop horror movie came out, i looked it up on the internet. In "valentine"'s website, it had the soundtrack on it and you could listen to it. So i listened to all the samples and then i burned the cd right afterwards and i also burned the Linkin Park cd cuz since i listened to the samples of the Valentine soundtrack im a HUGE fan. Thats how i discovered them. The song "Pushing me away" is kick ass!!! It has so much feeling into it and it really goes with a horror film. Also, I was happy to see so many UNKNOWN rockers on this cd. Ever since "i know what you did last summer" ive bought all horror films soundtracks, because of their style of music....alternative rock. Marilyn Manson may be scary but he makes some pretty tight music. Rob Zombie is also a scary scary man but "superbeast" is a cool cool song! I also LOVED "Opticon" by Orgy. Its about time Orgy is gettin recognized again! Their remake of "Blue Monday" was kick ass! To quickly talk about the movie, in the film, the teen horror queens werent too bad!! Marely Shelton and Katherine Heigl are good screamers! I havnt seen the movie YET but i have seen them in commercials and stuff and they are kick a**. BUY THIS CD!!!!!!! LINKIN PARK!!!!!!

"Valentine" is an excellent soundtrack. It has a lot of good music from some of the best modern heavy metal bands such as Linkin Park, Disturbed, Orgy and many others. "Opticon" by Orgy is my favorite song on the cd. I could listen to it for hours.
Rob Zombie has a pretty good "Porno Holocaust" remix of "Superbeast", though I prefer the version on the "End of days"
soundtrack. I prefer the LP cut of Static-x's "Love Dump" over the "Mephisto Odyssey's Voodoo mix". Disturbed does a good job with "God of the mind", and I like Deftones' "RX Queen".
"Valentine" is a no-brainer for Hard rock and Heavy Metal fans, but if your not into either of these genres of music, you may want to here the demo's on W.B.'s "Valentine" website before you purchase this one.

I haven't seen the movie because I've heard that it is horrible, but when I heard a listing of the artists on the soundtrack, I went out and bought this on the day it came out. Almost all of the songs can be found on the artists' albums, but I love this soundtrack; a lot of the songs have very catchy tunes and/or mixes, demented love song lyrics, and an overall great industrial sound. The best songs: Linkin Park's "Pushing Me Away," Deftones' "RX Queen," Orgy's "Opticon," Professional Murder Music's "Fall Again," and Snake River Conspiracy's "Breed." These songs are awesome and I keep them on repeat. If you like the soundtracks for Scream 3 and Dracula 2000, then you'll love this CD.

This is a great soundtrack. to tell the truth, i've never seen the movie, but who cares with the great songs on here. first off it's worth buying in my opinion for a cool "hybrid mix" of one of my favorites songs of all time filter's "take a picture". it's a great mix. from there you got huge bands like disturbed, static x, linkin park, deftones, orgy, and soulfly contribuiting great songs, especially soulfly. It's also got a great song by proffessional murder music, and band which in my opinion should get alot more attention then they do. but overall this is a great soundtrack to add to anyones rock music collection.

Let's get right to the point... If you don't like hard rock/techno, don't buy this cd. Just look at who's on it and you should know. Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Orgy, Deftones, Snake River Conspiracy, etc. Every song goes well with the movie except for Son Song, which is not Sean Lennon on his own, it is with Soulfly. I love this cd and just recently found it, so I have been listening to it non-stop. It doesn't get old at all, which is a good mark for any cd....
