Product Description

Ordered to fetch a stripper, fraternity pledges try the After Dark Club and meet a tall vampire. Stars Chris Makepeace, Grace Jones, Robert Rusler, Sandy Baron, Dedee Pfeiffer, Gedde Watanabe, Billy Drago A couple of college kids scouring the sleazy, local red-light district for a stripper for their party make the mistake of visiting the After Dark Club, where a vampiric Grace Jones is the marquee talent. Keith, Vic, and A.J., looking for strippers for their next frat party, unfortunately happen upon the only strip joint in town staffed and run by vampires. It isn't long before two of the boys have joined the ranks of the undead, complicating things for their fraternity brothers and their roommates. A kinky, often comedic modern-day vampire tale.

3.0 out of 5 stars What Momma Warned Us About..., Sep 17 2003
This review is from: Vamp (VHS Tape)
..don't hang out with frat hooligans and bikers, don't go into strip bars, never stay out past midnight, and that they call it Skid Road for a reason.

Precursor to the fabuloso rave sprinkle of blood scene in Blade and the Tavern at the edge of nowhere on the Mexican border in Dusk to Dawn.

And, in a bit of creative casting Grace Jones plays a vampress. You almost never see this on cable, definitely cult, definitely camp.

1.0 out of 5 stars DVD-Vamp Warning!, Mar 1 2002
By
This review is from: Vamp (Widescreen) (DVD)
If you are thinking of buying this DVD, one word-DON'T. The copy I bought had some kind of encrypted virus that ruined my DVD Player. My machine was working fine until I inserted the Vamp disc. It wouldn't play and now no disc will play on my DVD player. I own a video store with several thousand DVDs and believe me Vamp isn't one you need in your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Class seldom seen...., April 20 2004
By
This review is from: Vamp (Widescreen) (DVD)
Can not think of one thing I do not like about this movie....Grace Jones overpowers you by sheer presence and by not saying one word!!! This movies starts up like a silly teeny scary movie; but the music; the atmosphere; the performers; and even the sorrority guys are utterly believable. This movie simmers along untill Katrina ( Grace Jones) is performing on stage; after that ...nothing is the same again. The one liners I still remember to this day...and they are countless.
A movie to buy...and watch over and over again. Amazing musical score...
