Book Description

Dec 24 2009
Annette thought she had the perfect solution to prevent what was meant to be a pleasant anniversary celebration from deteriorating into a never-ending lecture from her older sister on the substandard status of her entire life. Inventing a fictitious boyfriend, reportedly detained in an unavoidable, albeit imaginary, business meeting, seemed like a harmless fib if telling it would ensure a festive evening. She even had a plan to cover his exit from her life later on. Rich's estranged wife had gone too far this time and he'd had enough. He had no clue what setting him up as another woman's date for an evening of drinks, dinner and theater with the woman's family was supposed to accomplish but he was determined to find out. When his new better half didn't so much as blink at his unexpected arrival he decided right then and there that he wasn't letting her out of his sight. He'd play his role of escort to the hilt to get to the bottom of it even if he had to tie her to the bed and seduce the answers out of her once the other couple said goodnight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great story from Walkers world of Mythe Aug 29 2008
By LBJ - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Shiloh Walker's works can be terrific or a tragedy. The inconsistancey of her writing can make buying her books a bit of a gamble at times. Mythe Vampire is a great story and a safe bet for Walker fans. This fantasy tale brings a Vampire into the world of elves with interesting results.

Elf Princess Caet goes from bratty child to a mature woman during the course of this story. Watching her mature and work her way through her hurts is a pleasure. The vampire Ronal takes a brief dramatic turn worthy of a Shakespearian Tragedy, however, and that seems highly out of character. It's an odd scene that makes little sense.

I felt Ms. Walker skimped a bit on the world building. Perhaps because this was the second in the series she didn't feel the need to fill in the details, but this makes it a bit confusing if one hasn't read the previous book. I would have liked to see it stand on it's own a bit better. I understand books from EC tend to be shorter because they are primarily e-books, but Shiloh Walker is talented enough to fit in the needed details in limited space if she chooses to do so.

Overall Myth is a good read, and while I won't say its a "must read," it would definately be an enjoyable one for anyone who picks it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars sexy and entertaining Nov 16 2006
By Caroline Fernandez - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The story line in this book actually kept my attention and I thought the sexual scenes in the book were well done. I often found myself wishing i were the one in Ronal's arms. Overall it was a very enjoyable book that i will read again. If you like vampire romances, you'll love this one.
