It's aware that the 3 different versions of the devos book are all the same content in different order... Jan. 13 2014
By annaboog - Published on
The daily devotions are simple and need to be read together with your child so that you can read the Scripture verse and explain the Word to your child...the verse devotional isn't always explained/applied in correct context of the actual Scripture. It isn't the case with all the verses, but just hoped for more. Also, we ordered the Daystarter Devos, the Bedtime Devos and the God Loves Me for Girls Devos...and it turns out that they are all the same content in different order. So, obviously, some are going back...if not all.

Great for young girls March 16 2012
By Katie - Published on
This book is perfect for young girls. Mine are 4 and 6 and they LOVE this book. They are very short, meaningful messages so they can be done even on the nights they go to bed too late. They messages are always something they can relate to. On the nights they suggest memorizing the verse I just talk to them about the meaning of the verse. They understand what is being taught because they often bring up the lessons at later times- like how you should always do what you are supposed to even if you don't think anyone is watching because God always sees you. I am sure we will be reading this devotional year after year since the messages still have meaning to them but will apply differently in their lives as they get older. Plus now that they can read they enjoy taking turns reading the verse and prayer.

Adorable and Awesome! Sept. 24 2012
By Cherise Kachelmuss - Published on
This book is an adorable book for young girls. It is set up so each day there is a page to read that includes: bible verse, tip, day starter prayer and some thoughts with an example. So for example, there is a page that talks about mistakes, patience, responsibility and so much that a young girl will go encounter in her day to day life. The pages are very short and it is a perfect way for a parent to bond with their daughter and teach them a lesson at the same time. I like it because it covers topics that I wouldn't necessarily think about and in a way that is perfect for a young girl to relate to. There are 365 pages to cover and then you could of course start over or pass it on to another young girl! This would be a perfect gift for any girl!

Easy to read and short March 5 2011

I bought this for my 6 years old. It is very easy to understand and creates a topic for the night to discuss and pray. The only complain is the book references the day number (365 days) instead of date. Sometimes, it is difficult to know which is the next page to read without knowing the current day number.

I raise my kids in the Word, and they could handle things a bit deeper, but it's great for kids who don't have strong Christian influence. The scripture is paraphrased pretty liberally, i dont think it should be kjv but nasb would be nice, anyway...We like it. Every night before bed.
