Buying this SD card was a real waste of money. Very disapointed and frustrated with the quality of this card. IT'S DEFINITIVELY NOT FOR DIGITAL CAMERAS because it's too slow. After using it for a year, my PC was struggling to find and recognize the cart when inserted into the card reader.
THEN it stoped working and I lost every single photo and video that was on that card. Verbatim replaced the card as a commitment of Lifetime Warranty but my 600 pics were gone forever. Even the new card has almost the same signs as the other one but the thing is that I'm not using anymore this HIGHLY expensive, obsolete, terrible quality SD card.

Excellent performance on the card, make sure your camera accept this size and speed.. This Verbatim memory really works on Windows7 64-bit.

Wish the price more competitive.. we could get more of it.

Thank you Electronics For Less Canada Storefront for your great service and fast shipping.

HASH(0xa5f56924) out of 5 stars Confirmed Class 6 speed July 25 2009
By Michael J. Scott - Published on Amazon.com
I got this card to use with an HP HDX18 Laptop computer that has a built in SDHC reader. I use the 32GB SDHC card to transfer audiobooks to a Western Digital Hi Def Media Player model WDAVN00. I use a USB SDHC reader on the Western Digital Player. Audio playback speed of large .MP3 files is not an issue, but transfer speed of the files from the laptop to the card should be fast.

This is a class six card but it did not have any other speed claims on the packaging. Using the built in reader on the laptop running Vista64, I transferred 30 GBytes to the card in 40 minutes or 12.5 MBytes per second. To ensure that the laptop reader was giving me typical results, I tried the same operation using an external USB2 reader from Connectland. The French made Connectland C1511 reader took 43 minutes or 11.6 MBytes per second. There were 48 large files, all 640MB. The card was factory formatted FAT32.

A smaller, older Lexar SD 2GB card reformatted to FAT32 was able to take 3 of these files, 1.87GB, in just under 6 minutes or 5.4 MBytes per second using the built-in laptop reader.

I got slightly better than a real world doubling of speed with the Verbatim SDHC card versus the Lexar SD card that I normally use with an older Canon PowerShot SD450 camera.

Your mileage may vary.

Based on various SDHC speed charts I've seen, this card is not screaming fast, but perhaps my reader is at its maximum. I won't know until I can get a card that is substantially faster.

HASH(0xa5f56d2c) out of 5 stars Performs as expected Nov. 19 2009

I use this card in my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 digital camera and it works as expected, storing pictures and HD video without a problem. The actual available space is around 30gb, which is more than I expected based on previous SD card and hard drive experience.

SD cards are a bit of a commmodity nowadays but I feel the extra expense of a well-known brand is worth it.

I used to do some photography way back and remember how I could shoot photos fast. For the longest time I though digital technology would never get there, perhaps a limitation of the CCD technology. But apparently the cameras are generally ready to go... generally it's the SD cards that seem to be the weakest link. I put this class 6 head to head with a class 4 and there was a notable difference.

Pro:
+ Large capacity hours of video, thousands of photos
+ Lock switch on the side to prevent accidental erasure
+ Solid construction
+ Came with a case to keep it clean
+ FAST and responsive!!! Your camera might actually be faster than you think - upgrade your SD card for rapid-fire photos!
+ Now only about $30

Con:
- No place to write on/label it

Bottom line: Highly recommended!! Since the original review have purchased another.

HASH(0xa5f58150) out of 5 stars Can't beat Class 6 speed. Dec 24 2009

Didn't really understand the difference between a Class 2 and a Class 6 SDHC card until I got this one. For my Canon camcorder, this card worked great. Better than the write, is the read speed. Much better than my other Class 2 card, even inside my camcorder.

HASH(0xa5f581c8) out of 5 stars Verbatim Has Good Quality Control And Reliable Performance Oct. 28 2009

First it is fast real class 6 so no worries there. I used this in a canon dslr camera and a canon HD video camera to test all abilities. Works without a hitch with even the most demanding tasks. The only reason no five star is the fit and finish of the casing is not up to specs. It sticks and had to be pulled out of cameras. Tried in six electronics to make sure. The more it is used the less it sticks so that is good. Posibly just a minor manufacturing problem that will continue to work itself out. I have several transcends and this is just as good so far. The only media I have ever had failure with was kingston, and no they did not stand behind the lifetime guarantee.
