4.0 out of 5 stars so so good, Jun 23 2004
By Ryan "nerdrocker" (muskegon, michigan usa) - See all my reviews
I saw these guys in grand rapids a while ago with burning airlines and I've been hooked ever since. I picked up a four song split they did with a group called akarso there and atempted to get friends into it with little success. The inventive guitar lines and the use of strings and horns along with ever shifting beats make the view from this tower one of my favorite records of the past few years. Every song is pretty much picture perfect (I don't dig a song for friends and me as much though) Kerrang! even gave it a great review despite the fact that they usually promote crap. It's not music for every occasion and not everyone digs it but if you're into stuff like burning airlines, jawbox, fugazi, et al. You should enjoy it immensely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Math rock that rocks harder than calculus, Oct 10 2003
By Ian J. Vidaurre (Plantation, FL United States) - See all my reviews
what can i say? this album has it all! The odd time signatures, great vocals.....variety in songwriting...its a perfect soundtrack while studying for your math test. The highlight of the album in my opinion is the title track's buildup and total change of pace along with the insane drumming solos near the end of the song...the singing on the last part makes me weak in the knees...you need this album.....it WILL change your perception of music...

5.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to click six stars but they wouldn't . . ., Jul 23 2003
By A Customer
I could write about why this is seriously my favorite album of all time, but I can't because I'm just too mad that they broke up. Now I just feel compelled to send Devin O'Campo money, to keep recording, and to get back with Chad and Jeff.

5.0 out of 5 stars They sound like Farquhar
Farquhar is a very similar sounding band with XTC like song stylings mixed with math-prog and punk. Its an addictive combo. If you like this definitely get Farquhar's CD too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fugazi/King Crimson
Amazing. The Blending of Fripp style guitar playing and Fugazi's angular sound. You have to listen for yourself, words can't do Faraquet's music justice.
