I've discovered the birthday massacre about 3 or 4 years ago can't remember....and i've listened to their music ever since and I never get tired of it! Their style is so different and it immediatly grabed my attention. personnaly my favorites are to die for, promise me and lover's end. Happy birthday and horror show are good as well.....oh and what the hell they are ALL so good you MUST get that album and the first one as well wich can't be find on amazon.ca....unless someone sell his or her copy which i doubt cuz who would sell the birthday massacre cd?! Buy it! trust me you won't regret it.....my fav band!;)

5.0 out of 5 stars TBM has fructified a prodigious harmony, Feb 8 2006
By A Customer
After 6 seconds of Holiday I was scrambling to get to the computer to see who the artist was. It was the first time I've ever heard of The Birthday Massacre. I hope I can get a DVD of anything they do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, something well worth getting!, Nov 4 2005
By Aaron McDonnell (London, Ontario, Canada) - See all my reviews
It's not often I hear music that stands out from the rest of the crowd, especially enough so that I want to add it to my collection - this album was definitely worth it.

Why? Imagine combining elements from Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, a touch of Type O Negative and add to it a few of the instrument sounds from trace-like synthesizers, and you have the unique quality of the music in this album. It's refreshingly different and stands well out amidst the myriad of other choices in its category. Even more refreshing is that it's a Canadian band that's making themselves known through their own endeavours rather than being pushed by some big recording label.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this album to anyone that likes this genre of music and I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
