James Ehnes is definitely one violinist to follow. His Bruch and Mozart is second to none. It is such a pity CBC Canada did not invest in his talent. He is truly a versatile musician...........

Beautiful Bruch July 1 2013

The first concerto is Bruch's best known piece. Here it is played beautifully and reinforces the stature of the concerto as one of the top 19th century violin concertos. The third concerto is a rarity, hardly ever played. I don't know why. The first movement is gorgeous, more extensive and better developed than that of the first concerto. Perhaps this superb recording will help bring it into the repertoire
