Book Description

Jan. 1 2009
Visible: A Femmethology, the only two-volume anthology devoted to femme identity, calls the LGBTQI community on its prejudices and celebrates the diversity of individual femmes. Award-winning authors, spoken-word artists, and new voices come together to challenge conventional ideas of how disability, class, nationality, race, aesthetics, sexual orientation, gender identity and body type intersect with each contributor's concrete notion of femmedom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second verse, same as the first. Aug. 17 2009
By CronoCloud - Published on
Read my review of the first volume, it applies to this volume too.

Unedited writings by femmes of various writing styles and mindsets, including transfemmes by the way. It made this transfemme feel much better and realize that femmes are "my people". Quite thought provoking too. Well worth owning for any femme or those wishing to understand the femme in their life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Femme Reading! June 8 2011
By Writyr - Published on
Visible: a femmethology is a must for any femme, gender-queer, bixsexual or trans person. For any sexy, open-minded person or reading group! It is smart, sensual, provocative stuff that un-apologetically cuts to the bone of the femme experience. There's quite simply nothing like it around. The newest generation of femmes speaking on everything from masturbating to self-love to ftm's to designer shoes. It's all in here. Wild, sacred femme. Without her cloak on.
