I sincerely do not understand why this album is so unpopular. At the time of this writing there are 32 copies available for as little as $0.77.

FCS North is one of those Seattle bands that is a bit hard to pin down. Somewhat jazzy, but with samples that make it undeniably modern, the album is a wonderful way to stimulate the mind without being to forward or in your face. This kind of praise generally finds its home in inaccessible clods of dirt that Pitchfork Media goes ga-ga over but no one actually listens to.

'Vocabulary' is on regular rotation for me and I have the iPod history to prove it. In fact, I'm hear writing this right now because I was reviewing resumes while listening and wondered, "what nice things have people said about this album?" Turns out, this is it.
