With all due respect to the above reviewer from Massachusetts, it seems as though they have not actually read this book. Of course this book is given a particular "bent": it is written by Christian women for Christian women describing the life and situation of Muslim women "through their eyes." And, with that stated purpose in mind, the female authors of VBTV, as well as the editor, do a skillfull job of fulfilling their purpose. They write clearly, compassionately, and reasonably. I would recommend this book to anyone, but particularly to Christian women who are interested in the lives of women within Muslim cultures, societies, and families.
