HASH(0xa5340c90) out of 5 stars Sex in Sin City Feb. 29 2012
By Passionate Reader - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Las Vegas itself has never meant more to me than a place to fill the car with gas (and maybe play the slots in a nearby laundromat) on the way to the Grand Canyon, but clearly I've been lacking in imagination. I knew this book had to be well done, since the writers were all participants in a conference for erotica writers, many of whom I've read and admired before, but they surpassed my expectations and, in the process, gave me a whole new perspective on the city and its possibilities.

Perspective, in fact, is vital to the anthology. The theme of voyeurism through hotel windows, sometimes with the aid of telescopes, might have become repetitive, but on the whole the variety of perspectives and "voices" provides a stimulating mix. Whether they're watched, watching, or observing the watchers, the characters have sex so intensely satisfying that no roulette wheel win could surpass the endorphins.

All the stories are worthy of mention, but the ones bobbing to the top of my memory just now are Cecilia Tan's "Window of Opportunity," I.G. Frederick's "The Birthday Present," D. L. King's "Private Viewing," and Penny Amici's "The Mist Between Us."

Don't be afraid to take a chance on this one. The payoff is hotter than cold cash.
