5.0 out of 5 stars I'm loving it! Dec 28 2012

I just got this tablet and I've been using it all day!
It's my first tablet and it was surprisingly easy to use and it took me almost no time to get used to it, the software it comes with is great. If you're looking for an easy to use, inexpensive beginner tablet i'd say this is the one to get.

Edit/Update:

It's been months since I got it, I'm much busier now but I still love and use the tablet on occasion it works great does everything I need I've never had a problem with it, I often don't unplug it after use and just use it as a mouse after drawing. I can't see myself needing to upgrade ever because it does everything I'd ever need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for drawing and writing June 28 2014

I initially purchased this tablet with the intention of practicing some artwork on the computer. I tried to use my mouse for this purpose but that is simply terrible for your sanity. There are some good mouse artists out there but it is extraordinarily difficult to do.

This tablet was initially advertised as something for "presentation markup" or the likes. It does work in that respect, but it does just as well as a portable drawing tablet. The pen is very responsive, and certainly beats doodling in MS Paint with your mouse. There's no battery, which is a downfall some other tablets have. You won't be worrying about your pen running out of juice anytime soon. It does take some getting used to, however. Initially, it may be difficult to direct your pen exactly how you would like it to move, and if you are more used to actually looking at your drawings while working on them, then it will take some getting used to.

The more expensive versions of this tablet that advertise some additional features like a few buttons and better pressure gauging aren't going to improve your experience dramatically. This tablet will work just as well, and unless you really crave having a larger canvas (the top model has double the drawing space), then stick to this basic model. You won't find yourself cramped by any means. I've worked on this tablet for hours without issue, drawing up equations on Sketchbook as well as doodling here and there. It works insanely well for anything pen based.

I must also say that the tablet makes a great replacement for your mouse in operating your regular applications. If you've been using the mouse too frequently, like I did during one insane gaming session, then switch to this tablet.

This tablet is great for anyone who is interested in art. My daughter's friend has one and that is where my daughter told me she wanted one for Christmas, she showed me which on to order and it came again from overseas on time where I was able to see her face on Christmas day when she opened it. So glad there was English instructions as this item also came from Japan.

I gave this as a gift to one of my close friends. I asked her a few days later and she says it's amazing. It is a very affordable price and worth it, my friend almost cried receiving it because she wanted it for her birthday.

A great buy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Sept. 17 2013

It is a nice product, am able to write smoothly on pdf documents or any other program (onenote, word). The only problem I encountered was with Microsoft's tablet software that comes with Windows 7, it kept causing the pen to show options whenever the pen was held still for more than a second which was annoying but easily fixable.

The working area is about 4x6 inches. Good enough for an entry level tablet. It is light weight and the USB connector cable comes out of the unit so it makes it easy to pack up for travel.

This tablet is wonderful. I have no problems with it.
I primarily bought it to play the rhythm game Osu!, and it works PERFECTLY for that!
At first I thought that the software that came with it was trash, but once I figured out that you could set custom shortcuts I loved it! I use the "bamboo dock" to launch Osu! or Paint Tool SAI frequently. It's perfect for both of these programs; the pressure sensitivity is great in SAI, and the high precision is great in Osu!

One thing though, if you are going to buy this then don't buy extra nibs right away, it comes with 3 extra ones in the box!
