Elegant Design, Natural Feel

The Bamboo Stylus combines comfort and elegance with its sophisticated design, satin-textured metal body, and balanced weighting. Featuring a small stylus tip (6 millimeters in diameter), the stylus provides a precise digital inking experience. A special coating on the rubber stylus tip gives it a natural, pen-like feel.

The Bamboo Stylus weighs 20 grams, is 120 millimeters in length, and features a 9-millimeter pen barrel.

Ideal for Artists and Note Takers

The Bamboo Stylus makes the iPad even more versatile by making it possible to take handwritten notes, highlight text, edit documents, and sketch out ideas. It can be used effectively with a number of apps developed for the iPad, including Bamboo Paper, which allows you to write notes digitally as you would on paper, and GoodReader, which allows you to add comments or sign your name to PDF documents, and many others.

For visual artists and doodlers, the stylus works well with Autodesk's SketchBook Express, a drawing and sketching app; Adobe Ideas, which enables you to add your own embellishments to an image; Doodle Buddy, a simple doodle pad; and ArtRage, a fun painting experience on iPad.

Bamboo Paper App Functions as a Digital Notebook

An excellent companion to the Bamboo Stylus, the Bamboo Paper App is available for free download via the Wacom App Store and iTunes. Featuring a number of different paper types (blank, lined, or graph), several pen thickness selections and ink color options, Bamboo Paper offers the ease of your own natural handwriting as you smoothly sketch your thoughts and ideas on digital paper. With a touch of the stylus, you can create your own notebooks, manage your digital note library, and sketch ideas that can be archived for future use.

With a user interface that is fun and easy to use, Bamboo Paper lets you flip through your notes and browse thumbnail images of your pages. You can even bookmark important pages and send an individual page or an entire book by email.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best stylus that you can buy April 24 2012

By far and away the best stylus that you can buy.

Usage:

I am manager by trade, so I am constantly taking notes. I also work in a technical industry, so I am constantly drawing technical diagrams and flowcharts. A while ago, I decided to break free from my shelf full of notebooks and make my iPad my one-stop-shop for all work related notes.

The Good:

The heft and balance of this stylus is second to none. I can say this as I have owned more than 10 different models. Most were cheaper in cost, though a couple were more expensive. A good stylus needs to feel good in your hand. You have to want to use it and not be hindered by it. This is my go-to product for note taking, technical drawing and even fun sketching.

I have countless hours using this stylus and the tip is the same as the day I bought it. Wear on the tip was my biggest complaint with other similar products.

The contour of the tip is perfect. Other stylus tend to have a fatter tip making it impossible to write or draw with any semblance of ease. This stylus fixes that. I am not sure how they decided on the shape for the tip, or chose the materials, but the research behind it is evident.

The Bad:

This stylus is a pricey option when compared to the competition, but the price is not prohibitive if you were to use it every day. The amount of money that I have spent on other, cheaper stylus that are not as useful is far greater than my investment in this product.

Final Words:

Do yourself a favor and buy this product. If you envision a future where you no longer have to lug around notebook after notebook and want to make the digital transition, you will be hard-pressed to find a better product to take you on that journey. Learn from my experience and save yourself a lot of money. Buy this stylus and avoid the competition. You won't be sorry with your investment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work April 6 2012

I tried various pressures to get the stylus to work using Sketchbookpro on an IPAD. But most times it did not create a mark until I had move the stylus over 1/2 inch. Sometimes I would move the stylus several inches without any drawing response on the pad. Conversely, when I used my finger to draw, there was an immediate line with no pressure required. So I am returning the stylus and will go to the store to find something that really works.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tip ripped almost immediately. Feb 24 2012

Not bad, but not good. Within 10 hours of use practicing digital caricature, the silicon tip developed multiple tears.
It still worked, but I'm disappointed in the manufacturing and that no replacement tip was included. Also purchased the Kensington and have not had the same problem with that brand. iFaraday fabric tip stylus is my next trial. Bottom line, good for tapping, not so good for scribbling or drawing.
