I know wacom because i had a graphire 1 for 15 years. only reason i changed is because the drivers to make it work with windows 7 do not exist. Quality product, all features as described. User friendly configuration of the tablet and it's workable area. i have read on another review to put a piece of paper on top to avoid scratching the surface, works perfectly, saves the money to buy plastics.

Excellent product! Whilst there are some issues with nib wear, dont let these worry you. I bought one for a BIG job i had and had never used one before! I knew it was a big step and was immediately frustrated i couldn't just pick it up and use it. Silly really when i needed to learn it first! Once i got the hang of it, approximately 3 days and well into week 2 of the BIG job, I noticed my nibs were wearing down. Id tried a few of them as i was deciding which i liked best. By the end of six weeks constant use I was ready to buy some more nibs and even a new sheet for the Tablet as the "texture" started to wear off! I then forgot about it and 10 months on the annoying texture has worn off completely and its all shiny like an old version 3. My nibs no longer wear down and everything is fine. You can buy smooth ones i think but mines fine now, you can even "sand" the texture off if it annoys you. (see google for such antics)
Bottom line and these niggles aside, fab product i use it every single day for at least 4 hours solid sometimes more!

This is the first time I've shelled out for a high-end tablet, and I'm not disappointed. Very solid tablet, the express keys and pen features are quite excellent. I have noticed the nib wearing down faster than normal as others have mentioned, due to the rougher surface, and it might become an issue if I begin using the tablet more heavily, but I have to say that I like how it feels to draw on it, so in my mind it's a workable tradeoff.
