Rather than watch TV, my wife and I like to purchase older, wholesome TV series. We had not heard of Wagon Train before but after viewing the first five episodes, we are thoroughly pleased. The shows have been clean, realistic and interesting along with a good underlying message. We look forward to seeing all that the Wagon Train series has to offer!

The product we have received is of a quality of low standard. The company marketing this DVD collection has invested very little in the way of applying technology to enhance the picture quality. At times, day scenes are over exposed and washed out. Night scenes are so dark you can barely discern any action on the screen. They offer no special features. Such as interesting facts about the cast of actors and the writers. The price that one is expected to pay is too high for the value and quality of the product.
We also have purchased all 5 seasons of Gunsmoke, the picture quality is "very" good. The company marketing Wagon Train should learn from the distribution company for Gunsmoke.

Wagon Train was one of the best TV programmes available in 1957. It ran for three and a half years before Ward Bond died. The lead role was replaced and Wagon Train continued running for a while , but it was not the same.
In `57 I used to dash home every Monday to watch the series. I now own the first year and have the second year on order for 23rd November delivery. The program that I recommend is the Special limited Edition 10 disc set and it comes in a metal box.
