Product Description

A KILLER HUNTS HIS VICTIMS . . .

A sinister executioner in the grip of frenzy. Self-realized with a penchant for butchery, he finds pleasure in the vicious murders of those most vulnerable and calls himself, The Sandman.

A DETECTIVE PULLED INTO A WORLD HE THOUGHT HE LEFT BEHIND . . .

It has been three years since Detective Jonathan Stanton solved the most brutal murder in San Diego's history, and as a result found himself in the middle of the worst police corruption scandal in memory. Choosing a less high-profile position, Stanton is nevertheless reluctantly dragged into the violent world of The Sandman.

JON STANTON MEETS HIS EQUAL . . .

The Sandman is clever, ruthless, and cautious. He leaves no evidence in his wake and takes a morbid interest in those that chase him. Believing Stanton to be his parallel, he finds an affinity for the detective. One that Stanton may not survive . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars Fight against evil April 4 2013

I got hooked on Victor's books when I read No where to Run, then the first Jon Stanton book. Boy what a writer, he grabs you at the beginning and doesn't let you go. Jon has gone through a lot and kept on ticking. The twists in this book had me guessing wrong twice. I never liked Ransom, something wasn't
right about him and the personal fight he had against Jon was sick and deadly. The end shocked me speechless with mouth opened say WOW, WHAT AN ENDING! I love this book and the others I read, keep up the great writing Victor.

4.0 out of 5 stars So happy I found this author! Jan. 4 2013

I hate long reviews that end up telling too much of the story. I recently "found" this new author and am so glad that I did. If you like Grisham, Connelly, Lee Child, Patterson, Gardner,as I do, you will like this book. Not a 5 star, but definitely a 4 star. Kept me reading and left me wanting another by Victor!

This was one of the first Murder Mysteries that I read after receiving my Kindle Touch as a gift. I like this author and went on to read more of his books. Held my attention and difficult to put down.

Victor method is a very vivid writer. He brings new light to reading a book. His character jon Stanton is a determined detective who does not give up on what he believes in. This case was truly a walk in darkness as he Stanton was so close to the person he was looking for all along. There are a lot of corrupt cops on the force and Stanton always finds them. Great book.
