Product Description

Bestselling author Lori Copeland (Outlaws Bride and A Kiss for Cade) weaves together elements of another classic Western romance with themes of redemption, forgiveness, and second chances. Abandoned by his fiancee hours before their wedding, Walker McKay is determined to never let a woman near his heart again, but he needs an heir to inherit his ranch after he is gone. Courting someone new is out of the question, so hell have to find a wife another way. Wealthy heiress Sara Livingston wants to be married, but her suitors are deemed unsuitable by her unreasonable father. When the opportunity to fill the bill for a mail-order bride comes her way, she grabs onto it with both hands. Will Saras deception and Walkers wounded heart keep them from finding what they are looking for? Or are they truly meant for one another? Formerly titled Marrying Walker McKay, rewritten for the inspirational market.

5.0 out of 5 stars Walker's Wedding by Lori Copeland, Jun 25 2010
By Linda D Paul - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Walkers Wedding (Paperback)
I just finished reading "Walker's Wedding" by Lori Copeland. To say that I couldn't put the book down, sounds trite, but that's exactly what happened! The story was captivating, to say the least. I read the book in one night because I had to see what happened next! The plot was intriguing, the characters believable. Lori Copeland tells the story with hope, love, and humor intertwined. (Drunken chickens come to mind)! As with all of Lori's books, there is a Christian moral under the romantic exterior. By the end of the book, you will know that you need to rely on God, not yourself. This is a poignant reminder to put Christ first in your life. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it to others.

Yet another great Lori Copeland read!
Sara is so refreshing.
Walker is such a man!
It was written so well I could picture it all and I felt like I was a bystander watching it all in person. I didn't want to put it down.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, Aug 18 2010

I felt like I read this story before. The ending was different, although not at all surprising, than I remembered it to be. But all the way through I knew what was going to happen next. The book became tiresome with the unresolved bickering and conflict. I did not understand the father's visit and his determination to dissolve the marriage. The "lie" was over-rated, Walker agreed to marry a mail-order bride and that's what he got. Why the unresolved fury and lack of forgiveness? She repented and asked for forgiveness from Walker and her father. They refused. I get tired reading a book that is all conflict and then in the last 10 pages they suddenly change their ways. This book could have been a great example of a married couple working out a misunderstanding and showing how forgiveness can make a marriage stronger. Perhaps the book should have been called Walker's pride. I usually love Lori Copeland but Walker's Wedding was not one of her best.
