5.0 out of 5 stars Bristolian humor in clay, Feb 22 2012

WRONG TROUSERS has to be one of the most amazingly brilliant claymation films ever. Correct that--one of the best short films ever period. Watch it numerous times to get all the jokes. Check out the paper headlines, or displays in the museum--classic inside jokes within the flick. The whole thing works so well esp. when you add that understated Bristolian accent of Wallace (who has being the only speaking part). Classic British humour that translates into any culture.

Plus you get three other classics on here so...quadruple the fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars made me smile, Jan 26 2010

I have always enjoyed Wallace & Gromit and debated whether or not it was worth getting the whole collection when really, the only one I hadn't seen was "A Matter of Loaf and Death". YES IT WAS! I thoroughly enjoyed rewatching the previous episodes and hearing the commentary for some of them. It was great to hear directly from Nick Park (creator) on how he started in animation as a child and developed. I also loved the shots of the sets - amazed by how small they actually are - and showing the modellers manipulating the characters. Was also fun for someone like me who doesn't know much about animation to see how they did Gromit flying the plane, etc.

A must buy for any Wallace & Gromit fan. The "Shaun the Sheep" clip included on this DVD made me laugh so hard that I went on to buy some of those videos too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Adorable, Mar 1 2010

I love Wallace & Gromit. Claymation is excellent, and the writing is cleaver. I just bought the Blu-ray version, since my current DVD copy is being used daily by my two year old. And I'm still not sick of it, the more I see it, the more complex I realize it is. Little pictures in the background you miss the first time around, or plays on the names of store front signs. I find myself quoting bits of it during the day. I also own "Cure of the Ware-Rabbit" which I also highly recommend.
