5.0 out of 5 stars made me smile Jan. 26 2010
Format:DVD
I have always enjoyed Wallace & Gromit and debated whether or not it was worth getting the whole collection when really, the only one I hadn't seen was "A Matter of Loaf and Death". YES IT WAS! I thoroughly enjoyed rewatching the previous episodes and hearing the commentary for some of them. It was great to hear directly from Nick Park (creator) on how he started in animation as a child and developed. I also loved the shots of the sets - amazed by how small they actually are - and showing the modellers manipulating the characters. Was also fun for someone like me who doesn't know much about animation to see how they did Gromit flying the plane, etc.

A must buy for any Wallace & Gromit fan. The "Shaun the Sheep" clip included on this DVD made me laugh so hard that I went on to buy some of those videos too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Adorable March 1 2010
Format:Blu-ray
I love Wallace & Gromit. Claymation is excellent, and the writing is cleaver. I just bought the Blu-ray version, since my current DVD copy is being used daily by my two year old. And I'm still not sick of it, the more I see it, the more complex I realize it is. Little pictures in the background you miss the first time around, or plays on the names of store front signs. I find myself quoting bits of it during the day. I also own "Cure of the Ware-Rabbit" which I also highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great package for the casual fan. July 25 2010
By Mike J
Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
This is a great little package for the casual fan of Wallace and Grommit. It's obvious that care was taken with the transfer to blu-ray as the the recent shorts look pristine and while the two original shorts show their age in terms of production values they still look great considering the source material. There are enough extras to satisfy the casual fan such as myself and I especially enjoyed the one where Nick Park talks about how he first became interested in stop motion as a child and how the characters and stories evolved and developed over the years. It's a very bare bones blu-ray release otherwise but I was very pleased to have all four shorts on blu-ray with lots of satisfying tidbits in the extras, especially for the price paid.

I could not watch this Dvd on my dvd player. I am allowed to watch the dvd on my laptop, but can only change the region back to North American 4 times.

Anybody want to buy a Region UK dvd?

Nowhere in the description does it precise that this is a region 2 DVD. Now I have a useless DVD and 2 very upset grand children....
I previously purchased "the Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which is also an import, but this one is a region 1, which can be watched every , so I had no reason to think this one was different!).Please let buyers know CLEARLY, when the DVD's are not watchable in North America! This review is obviously not for the DVD itself, which I am sure is a delight, as are all the Wallace and Gromit series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wallace & Gromit Nov. 7 2013
Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
I love cheese and so does Wallace, need I say more? Apparently I do. I appreciate the hard work that goes into these shows and love that clamation is still being produced! Not least of all this collection was quite funny and my entire family loved it. Good humour and good fun to watch
