A Truly Beloved Hero,

Richard Chamberlain is magnificent in his portrayal of Wallenberg, whose tireless and heroic effoerts saved over 70,000 Jewish Hungarian citizens in 1945. This version of his story is not as completely dark, depressing and harrowing as the Swedish production done in 2003, but it is still heart-wrenching in its depiction of the savagery of the Nazis in German-occupied Hungary. Wallenberg's on-going fearless battle with Adolph Eichman gives us a glimpse into the mind of this sadistic lunatic, Eichman, and shows what true courage can accomplish as Wallenberg uses every resource and brilliant strategy to save the lives of the Jews in Budapest. Because it is a true story, I watch it to reaffirm my faith in humanity. The world needs to know that there are people like Wallenberg in it.

A true Hero story brought to life,

Richard Chamberlain shows his acting adaptability with a magnificent portrayal of Wallenberg. Based on a true story set in 1945, Wallenberg - A Hero Story reminds us of the savagery man has inflicted on others as they strived for supremacy and purity of race. This is a heart wrenching story filled with twists as Wallenberg struggled to save Jewish Hungarian citizens from extermination in the `Jewish death camps.' His uses of cunning skill against the Nazis' saved some 70,000 Jewish Hungarians. His wit and shrewdness made him a favorite among the Jewish population. However, his action also pitted him against Adolph Eichmann and made him a thorn in the Nazis' side. At the end we are left to wonder, `what really happened to this hero?'

Terrific movie but sad ending. I truly believe in the Holocast and praise the people that made such a difference by saving so many lives. What courage.
