Now on the hunt for those who hurt your family, you'll be able to monitor and hack all who surround you by manipulating everything connected to the city's network. I would give it 3.5 out of 5. Since Amazon only lets you give it a 3 or a 4, I went with my "gut feel" and am giving it a 3. That being said, there are some good things about the game too:

Pros:

-Hacking is very easy, intuitive, and fun. You can make a lot of things happen in the game by hacking
-Graphics are good
-Game runs smoothly, with no glitches
-If you aren't too into combat, the "easy" difficulty level keeps you from getting slaughtered constantly, although the combat scenes will still be more challenging than they would be in, for example, a Call of Duty game
-The single player campaign is quite long

Cons:

-The single player campaign, while long, is quite boring. The storyline is poor
-I didn't feel any of the characters were well developed, and some were downright cheesy
-I didn't find any of the side-plots very appealing or enjoyable

This game would have also been a lot better if the story line were less linear. Perhaps give the player some flexibilty in how/when missions are carried out in the single player campaign (think how "Mass Effect" allows that)

I don't regret buying or playing through this game, but it was easy to trade away once I finished it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't care for driving controls Aug. 28 2014

I like the the storyline and the graphics are impressive, but the driving controls are rather complex and seem hard to control and most of the time very slow to respond which makes it frustrating. When it comes to car wrecks, the graphics are disappointing to say the least. However, the "on foot" play action is terrific. You have total control of running around the streets in Chicago.

You are playing the role of Aiden Pearce, a highly intelligent hacker to can hack into anything or anyone's life. He is on a mission of revenge for the death of a family member (don't want to be a spoiler).

The mini games are top of the line and fun to play. I found myself wanting be on foot searching to kill people instead of following the storyline a lot of times. The game can get boring after a while of you tend to wander off to do your own thing.

You can download an app called Smartglass which allows you to make your phone look like Aiden's (works on Androids and iOS). It allows you to use during online matches. I have no desire for this feature so I did not install it.

Overall, this is a good game, much better sound and graphics than the XBox 360 version. The car controls need major help, but it is one of the those games you will continue to play and will not throw in the "don't wanna play" pile.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gets better as you go June 30 2014

In the beginning, I was a little timid that this game was going to be as enjoyable as it turned out to be, but as the story progresses Watch Dogs becomes more interesting. I will admit that some of the side questing was much more interesting than the story itself. I found that I couldn't wait to solve the Missing Person's side mission.

3.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat disappointing June 20 2014
By Lindsay Steeves TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Platform for Display:Xbox One|Edition:Standard
I find when I do play this game, that I don't really do anything story-related and that I just mess around with the sidequests. I wasn't enjoying a lot of the story quests and found I was just avoiding them - too many driving quests for my taste. If you like those kinds of quests, then you probably won't be bothered by it like I was.

I found the feature where people can pop into your game and hack you to be more a nuisance than anything else and it would always happen at an inopportune time (like when I was trying to activate some sort of quest) and then I would have to wait for the person to leave before I could continue what I was doing, so I wound up disabling that feature.

Never really used the app either. I installed it on my iPad and phone and then never used it.

Not a bad game, just not as good as I was hoping it would be.
