5.0 out of 5 stars Well-crafted story... Mar 29 2011
By Party Boy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
In today's error of mega-blockbusters, sometimes we forget that all you really need for a good film is good storytelling and good acting. This film has plenty of both. Without a doubt it's a drama, but there is a good touch of comedy in there that keeps it's darkness from getting too overwhelming. Congrats to the team behind this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm a fan of Patrick J. Adams Nov 2 2011
By C. M. Krizka - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this movie solely because Patrick J Adams was the lead actor. After watching the trailer and teaser scenes I thought one of the characters would have a larger appearance throughout the movie but they didn't. I wasn't so much disappointed as I was curious as to why it seemed that way to begin with.
I wouldn't consider myself a film buff nor a casual movie goer, but somewhere in the middle, and this movie was interesting to say the least. The acting is well done, as well as the camera work. I believe that the quality of Independent films are beginning to surpass the big Hollywood-budget films simply because of the heart being put into the work. The Waterhole fits into my belief. It's nice to see people doing things because they have faith and put heart in their work, and it's clear the entire cast and crew felt this way making this movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reno 911, indeed Mar 30 2011
By WaltMart - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
This coming-of-age (read: sober up and get a life) film is a fine example of independent filmmaking. Joey Klein gives a gripping performance and the biggest little city in the world never felt so hauntingly desolate and warm at once.
