Crap to be thrown out,
By A Customer
This review is from: We Can't Dance (Audio CD)
This is the worse Genesis cd I ever heard. When I bought this it was $2.99 in the cut out bin at Sam Goody(I should have got the hint at the price) There are too many stupid songs to be even considered Genesis. I have Foxtrot and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and I enjoy them much better than this. Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett made Genesis better as this crap proves.

I Would Give Anything For The CD Version ...,

This review is from: We Can't Dance (Audio CD)
I was recently doing some cleaning up and moving around when I 'redicovered' this album on tape version. I'd forgotten all about Genesis' "We Can't Dance" and after one listen in the tape player, it reminded me how much I love this. Throughout their many years, this band has created some classic hits. This album can be played and loved at anytime throughout the year because every track can have an appeal for every momment. "No Son Of Mine" is my jam."You're no son, no son of mine, That ones just my jam right there. "I Can't Dance" was another classic groove from this album. "Cos, I can't dance, I can't talk, Every joint on here is a classic in my opinion. "Jesus He Knows Me", "Never A Time", "Tell Me Why", "I Can't Dance", "No Son Of Mine". All classic grooves. As much as I would love the CD version of this, the tape version seems to make it more special - as if it's more of a discovery. Though I think the reason I feel like this is that it's special by anymeans. A real collection of tight jams. I can recommend this to all fans of music, and if you're like me, you'll fall in love with it on first listen. 5 stars.

2nd longest,
By Brian Ogilby "Ogi" (Worcester, VT USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: We Can't Dance (Audio CD)
We Cant Dance at 70 minutes is the 2nd longest Genesis album only shorter then The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (which is 85 minutes) but somehow thats not saying much. Still this manages to be a 2 1/2 star album along with And Then There Were Three putting it slightly over the other 4 albums Genesis made as a Phil Collins led trio. Longer more complex compositions with stronger playing attribute to this. The Last Spike and Fading Lights are classic Prog Rockers while No Son Of Mine and Living Forever are good and I Cant Dance and Jesus He Loves Me are ok. The rest of this album is awfull even at the end of thier stint with Collins Trio Genesis failed to even make a good album.
