Product Description

From Amazon.com

Via their recordings, these self-described "scumdogs of the universe" purvey lo-fi punk-thrash matched with equally lowbrow lyrics. Onstage, however, GWAR more effectively combine the sometimes clever, wacky, costumed look and theatrics of a Green Jello with the base grossness of the Mentors, lending GWAR tunes a turgid Technicolor life. In fact, clued-in audience members have taken to wearing garbage bags over their clothes to protect themselves from excessive stage spewage. The band's seventh album possesses redeeming factors, however, despite such puerile "songs" as "Baby Raper" and "Penile Drip." Though there are more lowlights than highlights, especially in the lyrics, GWAR actually come through a couple times. The Rob Zombie-ish ditty "Tune from the Moon" isn't bad, the slide guitar on the slow Southern-country "The Master Has a Butt" is cool, while "Mary Anne" is an almost-love song in a melodic punk vein. The barnyard noises on "F**kin' an Animal" are perversely laugh-out-loud funny-gross, yet there's also the sense of a Monty Python-like bawdy humor. We Kill Everything is rife with sicko toilet humor--literally on "Jiggle the Handle"--that is no doubt offensive to many. For good, dirty fun, however, GWAR provide a few--albeit very few--moments of lewd levity. --Katherine Turman

4.0 out of 5 stars Uncensored---------Censored???, Aug 12 2007
By
This review is from: We Kill (Uncensored) (Audio CD)
This is a hilarious album! You will only like this if you are a fan of GWAR or if you like really really funny lyrics.

But...
My copy has a parental advisory on the cover and unedited song titles on the back. And on the cd itself it says censored. When i listened to the album and followed along with the lyrics, it wasn"t censored! What's up with that???

I really don't get it, but I'm not complaining because my copy is NOT censored!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE GREATEST ALBUMS EVER!, Jun 24 2004

This was the first Gwar albums I ever had. I wasn't a fan of Gwar until then. How could I have been? Hell-O came out when I was 1. I first heard this from a friend at school who later dropped out. I love this album. I originally only wanted it for the language, but when I matured and the swears weren't as funny as they used to be, I started listening to it musically. I have trouble picking one genre to call this because it transitions all over the place. I love all of the songs. I don't understand why my CD says censored version, but hey, it sounds good to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly a must have, April 8 2003

This is my second favorite GWAR album. Next to, and by very little, Violence has Arrived. We Kill Everything gets back to the roots of Gwar. It's alot like, and better, than Scumdogs of the Universe, with more of a punk metal sound than the previous albums. It also features the new scumdog Scroda Moon and Timmy the Toilet. The highlights of this album are the title track, Escape from the Mooselodge, Jagermonsta, and Nitro Burnin' Funny Bong. Which have some of the funniest lyrics ever. I won't quote them for decency reasons. WKE even has a couple of songs sung by Slymenstra. Like the title of this review says, this is a must have for any GWAR fan.
